Pengician.com has appointed an acting online editor. The appointment was made after some days of interviews, examination and scrutiny. At the end of the whole process involving eleven (11) applicants, ASOGWA JUDE IKECHUKWU was successful and thus, has been absorbed as the acting online editor.
Asogwa Jude Ikechukwu was born on 9th December 1992 in the family of late Hon. Mike Asogwa of Obollo-Afor in Udenu local government area of Enugu state. He started his primary education in 1999 at St. Patricks nursery/primary school Obollo-Afor and finished in 2005 making his first school leaving examination at credit level. In 2005, he was admitted in St. John-cross seminary, Nsukka for a six year minor seminary formation. At St. John-cross seminary Nsukka he belonged to the Press Club where he distinguished himself in creative writing and won the best article writers prize. He graduated in 2011 with six A’s /three B’s in WAEC and distinction in Latin diploma examinations. As a lover of information work and being English language inclined, he sagaciously opted to do library and information/English. Therefore, in 2013 he was admitted to study library and information science/English in Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka. In his undergraduate days, he did not relent as he remained tops in his class. In other words, due to the spurs of confidence reposed in his ability, moral and intellectual conduct he was appointed as a member of STUDENTS TEACHER MAGAZINE editorial board 2015. He was later appointed the pioneer Editor-in-Chief of THE RISING SUN MAGAZINE while on industrial training at Prof. Ben Nwabueze library, federal college of education (technical) Umunze , Anambra state. He did not stop at that, he established THE BRIGHT STARS PRESS CLUB (fcetblog.wordpress.com) in the college which has remained the most credible and proficient means of information dissemination in the college till date. It must be mentioned that in 2015 this intelligent, hardworking and focused personality was offered a federal government scholarship award for studies in Nigerian public tertiary institution which can be attributed to nothing but his outstanding academic records and excellence at the scholarship examinations. In his final year, Information Technology section of Nigerian Library Association invited final year students of all the library schools in Nigeria to apply for a workshop registration grant of five slots only, ASOGWA JUDE IKECHUKWU did and was successful as one of the five students in Nigeria who were selected to participate in the Information Technology workshop. It has to be emphasized that the criteria for selection was an essay competition which confirmed Asogwa Jude Ikechukwu as a writer.
Upon graduation, in 2017 he submitted his essay entitled “ CHINUA ACHEBE: THE MOUTH PIECE OF BIAFRA” in a one-day literary event in the memory of Chinua Achebe organised by Society of Young Nigerian Writers (Anambra state chapter) which earned him a certificate of award for the reason of his entry being an outstanding one.
Asogwa Jude Ikechukwu as a young graduate, an information scientist, a blogger, a writer, a researcher and a librarian is at present working out an initiative in his firm Metavox Prints Limited (metavox.wordpress.com) on how knowledge contained in books can be communicated to people without reading.
