The most popular aspirant, hopefully, to clinch the ticket of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), for the Delta State House of Assembly, Uvwie constituency, Chief Francis Arhiyor, has advised enemies of the good people of Uvwie, who are threatened by the overwhelming support for his political aspiration, to desist from any form of thuggish and political rascality and present credible manifestoes to the electorates.

Chief Arhiyor gave the advice at a press briefing in Effurun today over reports of onslaught on his campaign billboards. He noted that such act is a mockery of democracy.

Our findings show that the latest destruction of the billboards was the one powered by the Uvwie Support Group for Development. The billboard with the caption, ‘SMART TEAM: The Leaders we can trust’, had the photographs of the Delta State Governor, Sen. Ifeanyi Okowa, the Senatorial aspirant for Delta Central, Chief Ighoyota Amori and the anointed aspirant for DTHA, Uvwie constituency, Chief Francis Arhiyor.

Chief Arhiyor also admonished his followers to remain peaceful, assuring them that the security agents will handle the issue.

It was also reported earlier that the beautiful posters sponsored by the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Uvwie branch and Francis Arhiyor Vanguard (FAV) to welcome Gov Okowa to the commissioning of Ugbomro road were destroyed by the enemies of democracy threatened by the unwavering support for the candidacy of Chief Arhiyor.
