The Chief Francis Omochovwen Arhiyor‘s bid to represent the good people of Uvwie Constituency at the Delta State House of Assembly, Asaba in 2019 received a major boost yesterday as the People’s Democratic Party’s foremost aspirant for the Delta Central Senatorial District, Chief (Sen.) Ighoyota Amori threw his weight behind the Arhiyor’s 2019 project.
Chief (Sen.) Amori made the declaration at a special hosting ceremony organised in his honour by the Arhiyor’s Political Vanguard in Effurun.
Chief (Sen.) Amori described Chief Arhiyor as a good son with the interest of the Uvwie and Urhobo at heart, saying that, “Chief Arhiyor has always supported me and I am here to also support him. I want to assure you that the Arhiyor’s race is settled and victory is sure come 2019. I wish to call on all Uvwie people to support him (Chief Arhiyor)”.
Earlier in his opening remarks, Chief Arhiyor thanked Chief (Sen.) Amori for accepting the special hosting, describing him (Chief ighoyota Amori aka the Odidimadi of Africa) as a man of the people who has done immensely well to move Urhobo and Delta State forward.
