The members of the enlarged Exco of the National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools, [NAPPS], Ebonyi State Chapter,
paid a Courtesy visit to their Eminent Colleague,
Chief Dr. Hyginus Nweze Nwokwu, who was recently appointed the Secretary to the State Government [SSG] by His Excellency, the Governor of Ebonyi State, Engr Chief Dr Dave Umahi Nwaeze. The delegation which was led by the President of NAPPS, Ebonyi State, Chief
Onyeoma Kelechi-Agbo, was visibly happy, seeing their Colleague sitting in the Engine-room of Ebonyi State Government.
The NAPPS President, Chief Onyeoma Kelechi-Agbo who spoke on behalf of the Association, congratulated Dr. Nwokwu on his appointment, saying that the Association is grateful to God for making it possible for their colleague to be in the number three most exalted seat in the Government of His Excellency Engr Chief Dr Dave Umahi Nwaeze.
His words: “We the members of NAPPS Ebonyi State, deemed it necessary to come and identify with you, and congratulate you on your meritorious appointment as the Secretary to the State Government. We are also grateful to His Excellency, Engr David Umahi Nwaeze, for finally identifying the stuff you are made up of, by appointing you to serve in this capacity in his administration. And for this kind gesture which His Excellency has shown to us through your appointment, we are pledging our unalloyed support for him come 2019.
The SSG who was visibly happy by the Congratulatory oration given by the Chief Onyeoma, thanked the Association very immensely for sharing in his joy, and promised to carry NAPPS, Ebonyi State along when and where necessary. The chief scribe of the State however charged the Association not to compromise in their mission of providing quality education for Ebonyi children. He said: “My heart is gladdened to receive you, my Colleagues from NAPPS, Ebonyi State. You are a special set of people because, you are the molders of tomorrow’s leaders and the nurturers of National Development, and I want to urge you, not to relent in your onerous task of providing quality education for Ebonyi children. Do not sacrifice their future on the altar of selfish gains. Don’t be caught up by the spirit of ‘get-rich-quick mania’. Even if a child is brought to your schools without money, don’t send him back, don’t chase him away, take him in, train him well, by so doing, you may end up training your saviour tomorrow. As for NAPPS Ebonyi State, they will not be left behind henceforth, they will be given fair treatment when and where necessary. Thank you and God bless you all.” Highlights of the visit was the presentation of a standing Portrait Picture of the SSG, by the delegated Exco members.
