Desperate times require desperate measures, Itodo Samuel Anthony dropped his views on the Herdsmen killing

Itodo Samuel Anthony

in his recent update on Facebook has this to say

It isn’t like these killers have villages under siege. No, they just walk in normally and kill and move on to the next village. You can almost tell your village is next. It is obvious this terrorism has the backing of the government in the centre, so the least local leaders can do is equip their people for self-defence. This is brazen cleansing going on, and if they have the support of security agencies, then such agencies are also the enemy. Death is coming to you either ways, whether you do something or nothing, so you might as well meet it doing something.
After the mass burial earlier in the year, I expected the governor to overtly or covertly facilitate the arming of vulnerable communities and damn the consequences. Buhari’s government via the mechanism of terrorist herdsmen is already at war with us, what’s the worst that can happen, open confrontation with the army? Either ways your people are dying.
Where is David Mark’s voice in all this? Where is Akume’s voice? Audu Ogbe obviously has too much beef in his mouth he can’t scream.
What are our traditional leaders doing? What are our representatives doing? What is Governor Ortom doing? Desperate times require desperate measures. Benue leaders need to pause their politics and take a firm stand for the future of our land. Or soon there’d be no land.
