Armed men suspected to be herdsmen have reportedly launched a deadly attack in Mbiya village in Takum local government area of Taraba state.
The Cable reports that the attack was carried out on Wednesday, April 4.
It was reported that five members of a family were killed by the attackers.
Mbiya village is where former minister of defence, Theophilus Danjuma comes from.
Danjuma caused a stir when he called on Nigerians particularly people from Taraba to defend themselves against attackers.
Sunday Sabo who is the head of the family was reportedly burnt by the criminals.
Samson Tinton who is a witness confirmed the attack and claimed over 20 herdsmen stormed the village.
David Misal who is the state public relations officer of the police command also confirmed the attack.
