The Executive and members of the Students Union Government (SUG) and the National Union of Urhobo Students (NUUS) of the Delta State University, Abraka on Friday lent their support to the aspiration of Chief Francis Omochovwen Arhiyor in contesting as member, Delta State House of Assembly, Uvwie constituency.
Lending support to Chief Arhiyor’s DTHA aspiration during the solidarity visit in Effurun, the SUG President, Comrade Igbuku Mamus and NUUS President, Comrade Prince Awhotu commended Chief Arhiyor on his aspiration to represent the good people of Uvwie at the DTHA, the tireless effort in ensuring continuous peace in Uvwie and the support for students.
Chief Tony Ofoni (SA to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa on Youth Development) thanked the students for the special visit. He encouraged the student unions to be of good conduct before, during and after the general elections in 2019, urging them to get their PVCs ready as the only tool in making good decision.
Delighted by the visit, Chief Arhiyor empowered two of the indigent students, Gemetei Oghenekevwe (Department of Economics, 100 Level and Unuagba Okeoghene Faith, Department of History and International Studies 300 Level) urging them to take their studies seriously and always put God first in their activities.
The students’ unions entourage include Com. Jude Ebruphiyor Johnny (SUG Secretary General), Igedu Great (NUUS Secretary General), Comr Afor Ernest (NUUS Secretary), Comrade Victor Ekhator (Sports Director), Comrade Samuel Oghenetega Isaac (Stakeholder Chairman FASA), Lucky James (Oleh Campus), Ogbalefe Marvel, Agbugbu Oghenevwede and others.
