Parents are responsible for decline in Urhobo language – Muoboghare


A former Delta State Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Prof Patrick Muoboghare has identified the lacklustre attitudes of Urhobo parents to the use of the Urhobo language as the major reason the language is facing extinction.
Prof Muoboghare raised the alarm today at the grand finale of the Hon Godwin Adode’s Urhobo Language Competition in Government College, Ughelli.
Prof Muoboghare who was the chairman of the event commended the sponsor of the competition, Hon Godwin Adode aka Coach Tete, Executive Chairman of Ughelli North LGA for his foresight in the revival of the Urhobo language promising to encourage the winners of the competition with N100,000.
