A leading aspirant for the Uvwie constituency’s Delta State House of Assembly’s seat, Chief Francis Omochovwen Arhiyor has described today’s honour given to the former Governor of Delta State, Chief James Onanefe Ibori as well deserved.
Answering questions from reporters at Ovwor Olomu, venue of the Thanksgiving and Grand Reception in honour of Chief Ibori, the sellable aspirant for the DTHA, Uvwie constituency, Chief Arhiyor described the honour as timely, well deserved and a motivation for young politicians.
According to Chief Arhiyor, “Chief Ibori is the Political Leader in Delta State. He is a living legend and an icon that made his mark as Governor of Delta State from May 29, 1999 to May 29, 2007. His developmental stride speaks volume. There is no successful and modern politician in Delta State today that did not learn his trade through Chief Ibori’s mentorship. He brought and nurtured many of them in politics”.
Chief Arhiyor also commended the National Chairman of PDP, Prince Uche Secondus for finding time out of his busy schedule to attend the occasion. He congratulated Gov Ifeanyi Okowa on the recent commissioning of multiple projects and town hall meetings across the State.
Chief Arhiyor praised the Delta State PDP Chairman, Barr. Kingsley Esiso for stability and piloting the activity of the party well.
