Chief Francis Omochovwen Arhiyor has applauded the Pere of Akugbene-Mein Kingdom, HRM. S.P. Luke JP, Pere Kalanama VIII over the traditional title on the former Governor of Delta State,
Chief James Ibori as the Izonfini-Owei (The one who opened up Ijaw land)
of his kingdom.
In a telephone interaction with Pengician, Chief Arhiyor in a very joyful manner congratulated the former Governor of Delta State, an Elder Statesman, His Excellency, Chief James Onanefe Ibori also known as the Odidigborigbo of the Universe for adding another title to his good cap as the Izonfini-Owei (The one who opened up Ijaw land)
of Akugbene Mein Kingdom in appreciation of his administration’s construction of Bomadi bridge linking the many communities in Ijaw nation.
Chief Arhiyor described Chief Ibori as a living legend whose contributions to Delta State politics and development cannot be overlooked. “The old and young are aware of his immense contributions to making Delta State what it is today. I am happy for him. Ose (Father) more grace.”
It is no doubt that Chief Ibori’s efforts in revamping many areas in Delta State can never be overlooked. From 1999—2007, the Odidigborigbo of the whole Universe dominated the social, political and economic landscape of Delta State with giant strides, building monuments which traversed the State irrespective of senatorial districts.
Chief Ibori deserved international awards for the construction of multiple bridges in Bomadi across the Forcados river; the Ughoton-Omadino, Trans Warri-Ode-Itsekiri in Warri South LGA; Ase River, off River Niger in Ndokwa East LGA and the popular Agbada Olomu in Okpare, Ughelli South LGA.
Chief Ibori is a man who has been after development in every area. This new chieftaincy title did not come as a surprise.
