Not until you are told, you would not really know Double Chief Francis Omochovwen Arhiyor is a peculiar Nigerian politician; a businessman and a philanthropist. But there is more to him than meet the eyes.
Double Chief Arhiyor, the Eromafuro of Ughelli Kingdom and Ejorhofo of Ogor Kingdom fondly called Olorogun or De Don Fada by his friends, fans and supporters, is a humble, diligent man who has served in the board of the Delta state transport service from 2010 to 2012.
As a man with a vision on a mission, Olorogun Arhiyor sets eyes to obtain a dynamic, challenging opportunity that contributes to the outstanding success of organizational objective given his experience and professional background from various reputable organizations.
His paramount aim in life is for a turn-around development of individuals. That is the more reason Chief Arhiyor will stop at nothing to see that his people are fully emancipated.
He has a good experience, leadership skills and an understanding of working partnership especially with professionals of other disciplines and cultures; excellent oral and written communication skills, presentation skills and interpersonal relations; excellent multi-tasking ability, and ability to work effectively under pressure and innovative nature.
Chief Arhiyor graduated with a Management Science degree from the prestigious River State University of Science and Technology based in Port-Harcourt, Nigeria. He also has in educational coffer a Certificate in Business Management from the award-winning Coast Institute of Management Technology.
He had his secondary education from Olomu Secondary School, and his Primary Education from Esedo Primary School, all in Delta State, Nigeria.
He served as a board member of the Delta State Transport Service, Delta Line, between 2010 and 2012, and also board member of the Delta State Sports Council in 2007. He is an ex-Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) Youth Leader in Uvwie Local Government Area.
Chief Arhiyor is the National President of the most renowned political pressure group in Delta State known as the Urhobo Youth Leaders’ Association (UYLA). He is also a member of the Delta Political Vanguard, the Assistant Treasurer of the Delta State chapter of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) and Chairman of the Uvwie branch of the NURTW.
He had a stint at NISCO Nigeria Ltd between 2004 and 2007.
Owing to his untiring efforts in service to humanity, Chief Arhiyor has received countless awards and recognitions such as Youth Ambassador for World Peace, Niger Delta Celebrities Award (NDCA), Niger Delta Student Union award of Most Outstanding Young Person and Delta Icons Award – Delta Labour Ambassador. Others are the National Union of Urhobo Students award of excellence, National Association of Niger Delta Students award of excellence, High Target Magazine award of excellence and the National Association of Delta State Students award of excellence.
Chief Arhiyor is a devout Christian and a proud Urhobo man from Effurun in Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta state, speaks English, Uvwie, Isoko, and Urhobo like no man’s language.
Chief loves reading, and cherish playing table tennis. His love for music and playing football is immeasurable.
