How did you startup Akujo Business School Ltd?

Akujo Business School is duly incorporated under the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Companies and Allied Matters Act 1990 by the Corporate Affairs Commission (C.A.C).

The Institution is a wholly indigenous Human Capital and Business Development Organization which offers a comprehensive range of high quality and cost effective custom made solution trainings on Power and Energy, I.C.T, Paint Production, Business Development and Management, Construction and Fashion Design etc.

On the 12th of June 2013, I got the divine assignment to set up an Organization that can help rescue our youths from the paralyzing state unemployment in Nigeria. At that time, I was an undergraduate with no stable source of income but I had to write the vision and break it into phases so that I could evaluate its achievements.

Up until March 7th, 2016, when we commenced operations in our Abuja Office, I was conscientiously preparing for the journey.

Now let me ask you, if you have health issue, you run to the hospital, if you have spiritual problem, you run to the church, if you want to startup a business or you are having challenges in your business and you need improvements, who do you run to?
Akujo Business School Ltd, yes.
Though there are other Ivy Business Schools in Nigeria and around the world but how many of our aspiring entrepreneurs can attend such schools?

ABS, is designed in such a way that it delivers timely values to young entrepreneurs in Nigeria.

We also had our grass to grace stories, as we commenced operations with just 25,000 Naira, a HP Photo Smart Printer, A HP Laptop, 12 by 12 Office (without a table ) and my personal library of over 400 books.

Though I had the option of securing a paid job else where or to continue working as the Operations Officer of SkillsEdge Consulting Ltd in Abuja but I deliberately wanted to demonstrate to young people that you can make something out of little or nothing once you are armed with and committed to workable business principles.

Wow, nice to know that. What other business solutions does your Organization offer?

Akujo Business School is keen on helping young entrepreneurs develop leadership skills, managerial skills, and technical skills in I.CT, Power and Energy, Fashion design, Construction and Paint Production.

We also have a business consultancy unit that handles company registrations, writing of business plan, branding and Tax Matters etc.

What is your staff strength?
At the moment, we have 8 professionals in our workforce.

I know there is no NYSC Camping Course You would like to miss as training of Corps members is a must for you. Tell us little about that.

Awesome, the Federal government through the National Youth Service Corps ( NYSC) is making a conscientious effort in the war against youth unemployment and our partnership with the NYSC has been a great responsibility we can not take for granted because of the national impacts our efforts creates.

Relation with the Corps members has also given us ample opportunity to design customized solutions in the area of Start up funding and legal business frameworks with collaborating agencies of the Federal, State and Private Organizations.

Where do you see Akujo Business School Ltd in the next 5 – 10 years?

The future is surely bright. First I would like to say that our website will be launched before the end of last quarter of 2017, it has taken long because of its features.

I must say that we are very much interested in the cloud, integrating our business with cloud system will definitely mark a defining moments for us at ABS.

We are also working very hard to institutionalize our Enterprise Development Summit and Awards.

We are as well looking towards having Akujo Microfinance Bank Ltd so that our youths can easily access Startup funds under a well regulated framework.

We also want to use this medium to invite partners to join us in this job creation campaign as the government can not do it alone.

Any message for aspiring entrepreneurs?

Yes, entrepreneurship is not for the Lilly livered neither is it a rocket science. It pays to be self employed.

Thank you and God bless you.
