Urhobo Youths Score Okowa High at 58

The Urhobo Youths’ Leaders Association (UYLA) has congratulated the dynamic and indefatigable Governor of Delta State, Sen. Dr. Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa on the occasion of his 58th birthday celebration, scoring him high on even distribution of laudable projects across the three Senatorial districts of the State.

In a statement signed by the association’s National President, Double Chief Francis Arhiyor and the National Secretary, Chief Vincent Oyibode which was made available to reporters in Effurun today, the

group congratulated Governor Okowa on his laudable achievements and the ability to pilot Delta State well for the past two years despite the dwindling economic situation in Nigeria.
The statement reads,

“We the members of UYLA felicitate with the amiable Executive Governor of Delta State, Sen. (Dr.) Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa on the occasion of his 58th birthday celebration. We pray the good Lord to continue to guide and sustain him in his efforts in developing the various sectors in the State despite the current economic recession. We wish him many more fruitful and prosperous years in advance. We are glad to have a listening Governor in our State”.

 

The group enjoined the prosperity Governor to come to the aid of the Local Government workers in the state as well.

The association is proud to associate with this

rare gem and icon who is 100% in a journey of unflagging pursuit of excellence in all sectors in the state, Delta (Finger of God).

 

Some of the Governor’s achievements so far:

Cessation of Communal clashes, huge state wage bill, managing debt burden, suppressing dwindling revenue, environment and urban renewal.

Paying attention to the Teaching Hospital at Oghara and upgrade of Central Hospitals.

Road infrastructure, construction and maintenance of about 55 roads projects covering over 148 kilometres.

Massive job creation/youth empowerment leading to the training of 1,027 youths under the Skills Training and Entrepreneurship Programme (STEP).

The reconstruction of the state-owned Technical Colleges in Agbor, Ofagbe and Sapele to promote technical and vocational education.

 

Indeed the finger of God has been seen in the State like never before since his inception.
