THE BEST IN YOU IS YET TO COME!
DON’T KILL THE DREAM BEFORE YOU START IT!
AN OBSERVATION FROM THE RESULT OF TODAY’S FIRST STAGE OF THE DR OVIE UGHWANOGHO URHOBO CHALLENGE!
The greatest tragedy in life is when a man dies in a youth, when a woman dies in a girl, when what could have been becomes what should have been!
In the words of late Dr Myles Monroe, the greatest treasury deposit is neither the oil well in Saudi Arabia nor, the gold deposit in South Africa! The greatest treasury deposit is the Cemetery or Burial ground! Because in the burial ground, are many songs that the world never had privilege of hearing as they were never sang! Inside the cemetery are books, films, dances, ideas, companies, industries, etc that never manifested because the men and women died in their boys and girls!
For instance, today we celebrated the 30 best students representing about 26 Schools across the catchment area that emerged from the first stage of the Dr Ovie Ughwanogho Annual Urhobo Challenge!
But what about the hundreds of schools who, maybe would have made it among the first 30 or even win the grand prize but never had the opportunity of expressing what they carry on the inside because their principals or teachers never believed in it!
Many of us under estimated many schools at the beginning of the challenge due to their locations! We mistook their location or position for deformity or dislocation forgetting the Shakespearian quote, ”who can look at the seed of life and tell the one that would grow or not”.
The result of today’s challenge came as a shock to many observers who believed hitherto, ”nothing good can come out of Nazzareth”. The very schools some of us thought we gave invitation just to fulfil all righteousness eventually became the chief corner stone as they made the highest scores in the challenge!

We witnessed cases of students crying profusely in joy because they defiled their circumstances or location and prevailed amongst many gladiators! They were counted and celebrated as best among the very bests! Their applauds were louder!
Lesson objective: Everyone is a potential greatness! Every youth can fly but if they don’t try or you don’t give them the chance, you may not know how high they can fly!
God bless Dr Ovie Ughwanogho for giving these super stars a place to stand for self expression!
