His flashback is apt and precise.
Today at Calvary Baptist Church, Abraka, my new place of worship.
After 16 years (1999-2015) of fellowship with the Peoples after God’s own heart, First Baptist Church, Orhuwhorun, it wasn’t easy to say goodbye.
I can’t forget in a hurry those wonderful moments when I served as an Urhobo interpreter and sunday school teacher in Urhobo. God really blessed me through my selfless services at the finance department and visitation committee.
Many thanks to Rev. C.O. Otobo & wife, Pa Ogusanya, Bro. Osieta, James Shaguolor, Bro Okpako, Deacon & Mrs Tanshi, Bro. Sunday Odogun (MMU, president) & wife Barr. (Mrs) Odogu, the Agbamus, Pa Obubu, Onovughakpo T Sunday , Sis Elohor Amrevurayire, the Osifos, the Ajiyens, Sis Justice, Sis Regina Dada, the Isiakperes, etc.
But at CBCA, is another home from FBC. The wonderful reception for me, I haven’t been so welcomed and accepted this way before in my life. It reminded me of my baptismal day by Rev Jemifor at Inland Baptist Church, Okwagbe in 1996 when a procession of worshippers followed me to my hostel in Uduvwo Imigbun.
And from the Roman Catholic background, I quickly coped well in the Baptist family, thanks to the headship of Bro Samson Ubekun of my home church, Emmanuel Baptist Church, Esaba.
As usual in CBCA today, l was warmly received by the church pastor, Rev. N.A. Anokwuru and members.
Special thanks to my new church members: Lucky Ejobee, Lilian Akpokiniovo Itodje, Dr (Mrs) Okenrentie, Mr & Mrs Udjo Mr. Izu Christopher, QS Edah, Profs Igbogbor, Prof Okobiah, etc.
I love the Baptist family.
