Gov Okowa Rewards Urhobo Youths for hard work
Executive Governor of Delta State, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa has rewarded the Urhobo Youths Leaders’ Association (UYLA) for their hard work and continuous support of his administration by appointing Chief Westham Simon Adehor as Executive Assistant (EA) on Political Matters, Delta Central Senatorial District.
In a press statement jointly signed by UYLA’s National President, Chief (Comrade) Francis Arhiyor and the National Secretary, Comrade Vincent Oyibode, described the appointment as timely, and a reward for hard work.
It would be recalled that UYLA was the first Urhobo group to organize a mega rally for Jonathan/Okowa, and all Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) candidates at the PTI Conference Centre, Effurun during the 2015 general elections where Sen. Okowa and his deputy, Barr. Kingsley Otuaro were in attendance. Thereafter, the group held a 9-day market to market rally in major markets in the Delta Central and South Senatorial districts to solicit support for the proposed ‘Prosperity Agenda’ for all Deltans. Yes, the group toiled day and night with an uncommon missionary zeal, and everyone was arrayed on the side of the governor, and the other candidates under the PDP platform.
While commending Gov. Okowa for the appointment, the group pledged its continuous support for the administration.
Chief Adehor, a native of Okpara-Inland in Ethiope East Local Government Area, was the pioneer National President of UYLA. Until his appointment, he was the Managing Director of Swag Integrated Limited, Delta State, and he is happily married with children.
