From venerable Benjamin Ibeh Ochiegbu John (JP) to his Lordship (Interview with the Bishop Elect of Owerri Diocese)
Saturday, 8th April, 2017, what are we expecting?
Good question. I am expecting a good crowd coming from the nooks and crannies of this great country to grace my consecration as Bishop of Owerri Diocese by the grace of God. More so, I expect that from this day the title of the man of God to change.
How long have you been working in God’s vineyard?
From the time I answered God’s call upon my life, till date, it has been 21 years in the ministry.
Tell us about your family
I have a lovely family to God’s glory. The name of my wife is Oluchi Prestige Ochiegbu. I have four children, two males and two females. I also have a lovely and caring mother. My siblings are many.
Tell us about yourself, sir
I am a very simple person by God’s grace. I love to be sincere in all sphere of life. I hate victimization and marginalization. Treating everybody fairly is what I cherish. My hobbies are reading and singing.
I hail from Umuorie, Umuebi, Obikabia in Isi-Ala North LGA of Abia State.
What motivated you into God’s vineyard?
Ordinarily I wouldn’t have like to be a pastor. All that brought me into the ministry is God’s calling. The story of my calling cannot be told through this medium, because it is a long story. It all would have taken my life if not for God’s grace. When I couldn’t help it I answered the call. From that moment I became a happy man.
