ARCHITECT OF POSTERITY

by

Limbs of time are thumping,

Seconds are counting, spanning…

Before a sentence completes a thought,

Before eyes interpret reflexes of light…

Years are sailing amidst life’s storms.

Life, still a sturdy rock of enigma:

The strands of my head, I know not the counts

The riddled scrawls on my palms are cryptic poetry

I tried analysed, still in the appreciation,

Giraffing on the reality of my each new day

To relate a meaning to hold on to…

Life is a crooked lengthy path my eyes trail

On the spot of my present, to where it bends…

Till the vision becomes blur by ambiguity

Of uncertainty. Intuition, against unknown reality.

But a sacred voice on the inside flashes insight:

Revel not in the envisage of posterity fantasy –

Work the rough reality of today, no giraffe-neck

You’d land the fantastic destination in the process…

One whom a sumptuous bride would be handed to,

Needs not stretch long-neck peep of curious fret.
