Following the report of a Youth Corps member that was duped N50,000 for transaction at the POS session of the IMO State NYSC orientation camp at Mami market on Tuesday, 6th December, 2016, the NYSC IMO State consider it fit to install an ATM at the Clinical axis of the Camp at 11.23a.m Today (Wednesday, 7th December, 2016) to ease the stress of Corps Members while in camp.
It could be recalled that the military surveillance in the camp will never allow Corps members for any reason to leave camp to withdraw or transact any business outside the camp. With this in mind, Corps members have gone through the rigorous process of the POS available at the Mami market. They charge N70 to N1,000 withdrawal.
With this ATM point, at least over the 1,545 Corps Members can now have a small sigh of relief. This one ATM point will not be enough. But to an extent, it will go far in reducing the fraudulent acts of those POS operatives.
They have been evicted from the camp since yesterday (Tuesday, 6th December, 2016).
