The Fifth Day in Camp
The fun is getting better. The drill is becoming harder. The boys are no longer strange to the drill. Girls are up and doing. Everyone seems to be waiting for Rochas Okorocha’s arrival today. We departed the parade ground at 6.05a.m
No parade for the morning hours as we were advised to go for our breakfasts and fall back to the parade ground at 8a.m in preparation for His Excellency’s arrival.
The uniform for today was NYSC crested T-shirt, Jungle Booth, Khaki Trouser and the NYSC cap. The very first time we are wearing this in camp.
Part of 27.11.2016 at 3.37pm, we were being flushed out of our hostels. Those who were at Mami market were chased out just like water will force a rabbit out of his underground paradise in the day time.
The way the parade was amplified sent 3 youth corps members to the Red Cross apartment. It has to be so since the state governor, Rochas Okorocha will be coming to declare the white fowls (prospective youth corps) as bonafide Corps the next day 28.11.2016
The ‘Man O War’ exercise was briefed. Only for those who are extremely fit.
